Twitter Pitch Party Calendar for 2021

Pitch your manuscript to agents in real time on Twitter’s pitch parties or check out some other (non-Twitter) mentoring and editing opportunities happening this year.

January


January 11–14: Author Mentor Match — (non-Twitter event) un-agented authors matched with writing mentors


January 20 (8 am to 8 pm EST): #IWSGpit — Twitter pitch to agents/publishers for all un-agented authors of every genre and age category


February


February 3 (8 am to 6 pm Eastern): #SFFpit — Twitter pitch to agents/editors for science fiction and fantasy only—all age categories


February 10–12: Savvy Authors Pitchfest — (non-Twitter event) pitch completed novels directly to agents, editors or publishers participating in the pitchfest


February 11 (8 am to 8 pm EST): #PBpit — Twitter pitch to agents, exclusively for picture books


February 19 (8 am to 8 pm EST): #MockPit — Twitter event where writers can practice their Twitter pitches. Authors are invited to tweet the pitch for their manuscript and encouraged to give constructive feedback to other authors


March


March 1—5: Pass or Pages Query Contest — (non-Twitter event) win feedback from agents about whether they would pass or request pages based on your query


March 4 (8AM—8PM EST): #PitMad — Twitter pitch for all un-agented authors of every genre and age category


March 25 (8am—6pm CT / 9am—7pm ET): #FaithPit — Twitter pitch to agents specifically for faith-based fiction and non-fiction


April


April 1: #CampNaNoWriMo — (non-Twitter event) Tackle any writing project, set your own word-count goal, and join a 12-person writing group


April 10 and 11: #RevPit — Twitter contest to win developmental edit on a full fiction manuscript from a professional editor


May


May 4: #APIpit is a Twitter pitch event for Asian/Pasifika writers and illustrators during Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month


May 6 (9 am to 9 pm EST): #KissPit — Twitter pitch to agents for completed, unpublished works of romance (HEA/HFN required), and completed, unpublished works of women's fiction


May 20 (8 am to 8 pm Eastern): #PitDark — Twitter pitch for manuscripts that contain an element of horror or darker writing in a range of age categories


May 21 (8 am to 8 pm EST): #MockPitTwitter event where writers can practice their Twitter pitches. Authors are invited to tweet the pitch for their manuscript and encouraged to give constructive feedback to other authors


June


June 3 (8AM—8PM EST): #PitMad — Twitter pitch for all un-agented authors of every genre and age category

September 26 (midnight EDT)—September 30 (10pm EDT): #PitchWars Mentee Submission Window Opens— Twitter contest to enter mentoring program where published/agented authors, editors, or industry interns choose one writer each to mentor


September 30 (8am—6pm CT / 9am—7pm ET): #FaithPit — Twitter pitch to agents specifically for faith-based fiction and non-fiction


October

November 1: #NaNoWriMo — National Novel Writing Month — a month-long creative writing challenge during which participants are challenged to write a 50,000-word first-draft of a novel


November 19 (8am—8pm EST): #MockPitTwitter event where writers can practice their Twitter pitches. Authors are invited to tweet the pitch for their manuscript and encouraged to give constructive feedback to other authors
